Phase: Activities

Create a 2m x 2m square with two cones and two spots all of the same colour. Split the class into groups of three. Two students are the "passers" and they will stand behind the cones with a netball each. The third student is the "mover". They will start on a spot opposite one of the passers and receive a chest pass, they pass it back and then run to the other spot. If the player runs to the right they will land on their right foot first (the outside leg) if the player runs to their left they will land on their left foot first. After a set amount of time change the runner over with one of the passers. Repeat the activity using a bounce pass

Key points:

- Landing in a balanced position on their outside leg first

- Chest pass: W on the back of the ball and hands ready at their chest to recieve a pass

- Bounce pass: Starts lower (belly button height) and bounces 3/4 of the way to their partner

Modifications

If you need to have a group of 2 just have one passer and one runner and set up in a triangle formation. Use a bigger or smaller square.
